About Us

About Brewdog: Our Story, Our Revolution

Welcome to the heart of the craft beer revolution. Brewdog was founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, two twenty-four-year-old punks from Fraserburgh, Scotland, who were fed up with the industrial beer landscape. Their mission was simple yet audacious: to make other people as passionate about craft beer as they were. Starting with a tiny brewery and an even tinier team, they embarked on a journey to challenge convention, push boundaries, and bring great craft beer to the masses.

From our humble beginnings, Brewdog has grown into a global community of beer lovers, united by a shared passion for flavour, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality. We've introduced groundbreaking beers, pioneered unique business models like "Equity for Punks," and consistently strived to operate as a force for good in the world, becoming a B Corp certified business and committing to ambitious sustainability goals.

This "About Us" page is more than just a history lesson; it's a testament to our ongoing mission to make the world a better place, one craft beer at a time. It reflects our core values:

  • Craftsmanship & Innovation: We obsess over every ingredient and every process to create the most flavourful and diverse range of beers, spirits, and more.
  • Community & Empowerment: Our "Equity for Punks" shareholders are not just customers; they are co-owners, part of our journey and our success.
  • Transparency & Integrity: We believe in being open and honest about who we are, what we do, and our impact on the planet.
  • Sustainability & Future-Proofing: From our climate-positive initiatives to our responsible sourcing, we are committed to building a sustainable future for our planet and our people.

Join us as we continue to champion flavour, fight conformity, and bring a truly authentic craft experience to everyone.
